Why Forgive?

Why Forgive?
Often times we have heard people being told or probably we have been told the same thing ourselves; " you have to learn to forgive and forget" ,  but is it that easy?  Even if you forgive, do you ever forget?  Now, I am no patron of confusion I rather hope to enlighten you_ as always ☺.  Chances are that you already had this thought at some point in your life.

Below is the danger of not forgiving and even worse not forgetting. When God forgives our sins, he forgets them_forever and I mean For Ever.

(Isaiah 43:25)
I think that it is in the wisdom of God and in the perfect understanding that is his, that he urges us to be like him,  forgiving and loving. Spiritually, identification brings about an awakening however mild or crystal. When we remember and spell out the past offenses of others, we awaken the hurt and pain,  we open up wounds and renew the scars that have long been inflicted. We hurt them by bringing to life the guilt and evil they might have tried to let go of.

The same applies for self. When a man reminds himself in whatever way, either by thought or word of his sinful past, he gives strength to the power to sin. At that moment it feels like nothing has happened but unfortunately a lot has happened.

Thus dear friends, I consider it worthy to mention that it would be prudent, that one holds firm to the word; "In all things we a more than conquerors through him that loved us" _Romans 8:37, and never call to mind what has been forgiven you by God, do not hold yourself captive.  Remember for whosoever the son of Man sets free, he is free indeed.
